To uninstall a TexasBarBooks digital download using the Windows "Start" button, follow the instructions below:
In the lower left-hand portion of your computer's screen, click the "Start" button, and then select the pop-up menu's "Programs" or "All Programs" option.
In the list of programs that appear, scroll down until you find the folder for the digital download you want to uninstall and single-click that folder.
The product folder should expand and show its shortcuts to launch the digital download and to uninstall the digital download. Click the shortcut for uninstalling the digital download and follow the prompts.
Uninstallation using the Uninstall a Program utility
To uninstall a digital download using your computer's Uninstall a Program utility, follow the instructions below:
Launch your computer's Uninstall a Program utility. You can usually access this utility through your computer's control panel.
In the Uninstall a Program utility's window, scroll down until you find the name of the digital download you want to uninstall, select (highlight) that digital download name, click the "Uninstall" button, and follow the prompts. If the "Uninstall" button is not visible at first, it should appear after you select a program name.
Manually deleting the digital download files
If you installed the digital download using the manual-installation "Macitosh" ZIP file instead of the automatic-installation "Windows" EXE file, you will have to manually delete the digital download parent folder and all of its contents. Even if you did install the digital download using the EXE file but can't uninstall it using either of the two methods above, you may manually delete the digital download files instead. Note, however, that manually deleting the parent folder and all of its contents for a digital download that was installed using the EXE file won't automatically remove the desktop icon or the TexasBarBooks Navigational Toolbar (see the list of digital downloads that include the toolbar).
If you want to uninstall the TexasBarBooks Navigational Toolbar as well as the digital download, try uninstalling the toolbar first. Navigate to the digital download's parent folder (by default, the automatic-installation "Windows" EXE file installs digital downloads at the computer's root directory, usually "C:\"). Inside the digital download's parent folder, navigate to the subfolder "Forms\Navigational Toolbar\." Inside that subfolder, open the folder named for your version of Word. Inside that folder, double-click the "TBB_toolbar_uninstall" command file. To confirm that the toolbar was in fact uninstalled, close and relaunch Word; the toolbar's "TBB Forms" tab should no longer be visible. If the uninstallation command file fails to uninstall the toolbar, search your root directory for the file named "TBB Forms" and, when found, delete that file.
To manually delete the digital download files themselves, navigate to the location of the product's parent folder and delete that parent folder and its contents.
To manually delete the desktop icon, right-click over that icon and select the "Delete" option.
